The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) will be to undertake development of a Management Information System to improve the current processes (Windows 1,2 &3). The objective of this assignment is to develop a fully functional scholarship and grants Management Information system for the Rsif RCU. The consultant is expected to deliver a web portal (translatable to English, French and Portuguese) and a backend application that will enhance the scholarship and grant awardee management process.

The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology now invites eligible individual consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria is:
- The consultant should have a Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant field.
- At least five (5) years of progressive experience with open-source software development environment (PHP, Java, Python and/or .Net)
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

The bids will be opened the same date and time, in the presence of those submitting.
